Physics

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure-Albert Einstein.

  • Physics is the study of the basic principles that govern the physical world around us.
  • Physics is one of the most fundamental scientific disciplines, and its main goal is to understand how the universe behaves.
  • Physics is about asking fundamental questions and trying to answer them by observing and experimenting.

 Vision:

  • To inculcate human and ethical values apart from the subjects in the young minds of the students and thereby improving the total personality of the students.
  • To motivate the students to gain experimental, theoretical & computational skills in order to excel in various fields such as teaching, research, industry etc.
  • The goal of the Department of Physics is to bring eminence and excellence in teaching learning process and to fetch ours as one of the Benchmark Department with “Potential for Academic excellence”.

 Mission:

To execute the teaching profession to bring the students as an asset for a productive and fascinating carrier, successful in their life and to realize learning with real world experience.

History:

Department of Physics was started in the year 1973 and has crossed many milestones in its development. It has a team of dedicated staff members who constantly strive to give their best to make every student achieve academic and research excellence. The staff strength at the inception of the course was three but currently it has gone up to 12 due to the addition of UG and PG programmes. The research programme was started during 2000 and the research activities have grown by leaps and bounds.
