PG & Research Department of Commerce and Department of Commerce (PA) of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, have inaugurated the “Jubilant Association” on 22nd June, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Conference Hall. The inauguration of the student association of the department is the initiation for accelerating students’ activities for the academic year 2017 – 18. “Jubilant” means “Joyful Victory”. The department has been conferred with the “Best PG Award” consecutively for the past six years from 2011-12 to 2016-17.
Dr.M.Sumathy, Dean, School of Commerce, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, inaugurated the association activities by lightening the lamp. She addressed that the ‘Commerce graduates must emerge themselves as professionals by enriching their professional skills and capabilities. She advised to select professional courses such as CA, ICWA and ACS.
She explained the objectives and functions of various professional bodies, which were supportive for commerce professionals. She appreciated the budding professionals of our department who has completed CA CPT, CMA Foundation courses. She motivated the royal commerce students to be loyal to their profession and society”.
Dr.V.Balasubramaniam, Principal i/c congratulated the staff members and students for their concrete efforts to strengthen the department.
Dr.V.Chinnusamy, CEO offered felicitations. Students office-bearers Ms.N.Pandi Meenaa, Secretary., Ms.V.S.Naveen Kumar, President, Ms.V.Shalini, Treasurer and MrA.Vishnu Kumar, Joint Secretary, have taken oath to strive for educational excellence in the pursuit of wisdom, to have God’s faith while respecting the faith traditions of all individuals students, to respect the parents, teachers, elders and fellow friends; and to be of service to others in accordance with the ideals set forth in the Student Commitment. Dr.M.Revathi Bala, Head, Department of Commerce (PG & Research) and Department of Commerce (PA) welcomed the gatherings. Ms.B.Divya Priya introduced the chief guest. Dr.R.Maharajothi Priya proposed vote of thanks. The programme ended successfully at 11.50 a.m.
