Nanobioformulations in Siddha Medicine

    R&D Cell, KASC i–HUB, IPR cell, PG and Research Department of Biotechnology, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore jointly organized Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) Coimbatore chapter sponsored “Research Networking programme on “Nanobioformulations in Siddha medicine” at the college premises on 27.02.2019. Organizing Secretary, Dr. V. Bhuvaneshwari, Assistant Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Biotechnology, KASC welcomed the gathering. Dr. V. Chinnusamy, Chief Executive Officer and Dr. S. Paulsamy, Dean Academics cum R & Dfelicitated the gathering.Chief Guest of our programmeDr. GunaMahesan, Director, International operations, Manushyaa Blossom Pvt Ltd, a startup Siddha Pharmaceutical company, Former VC of Institute of Advanced Research, Gujaratdiscussed about the various uses of siddha nano formulations in treating various non-curable by allopathic medicine such as autism, cancer, diabetes, parkinson’s disease. 

      The ancient system of medicine practiced in Tamil Nadu is called as Siddha system of Medicine. The system deals the diseases in various methods namely using drugs derived from plants, animals and birds, metals and nonmetals and physical methods including varma and external application of oils.Researchers are now concentrating on the effect of siddha formulations in curing various ailments.This programme nourishes and nurture the students, researchers and academicians to expose the Nano Physiology and Nano Biochemistry angle of the ancient system of medicine. About 200 participants including Students, Research Scholars and Faculty Members from the host institution have been benefited by this workshop. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. R.
