The Jubilant Association of the department of Commerce (PG & Research) and Commerce (PA) of Kongunadu Arts and Science College arranged for the document exchange programme with The Auditors Association of Southern India (TAASI). MoU was signed by CA. M. Baskar, President, TASSI and Dr.C.A.Vasuki, Secretary & Director, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. Mr.P.Jayakumar, Senior Executive of TAASI handed over the document to the Secretary & Director of the College on 29.06.2017 at 10 a.m in the conference hall of the college. MoU is signed for conducting the Job Oriented Courses and for providing adequate facilities. Dr. M. Revathi Bala, Associate Professor & Head welcomed the gathering and explained the objectives of MoU.
Dr.C.A.Vasuki, Secretary & Director delivered the presidential address. She asked the young students to take up the challenges and face the changes in the business environment. Dr.V.Balasubramaniam, Principal i/c motivated the commerce students to work as a team to achieve the goal.
CA.K.S.Shanmugam, Treasurer, Coimbatore Branch of SIRC, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India addressed the gathering. In his key note address, he highlighted the ample job opportunities available for the students due to the introduction of GST. He expressed that the petty shop to large scale business units must adopt proper accounting procedures and pay the taxes as per GST regulations. He asked the students to know the levy and collection procedures of GST in order to harvest the career opportunities.
Mr.P.Jayakumar, Senior Executive, TAASI emphasized the need for bridging the gap between demand and supply forces prevailing in the acquisition of skilled manpower. He insisted to acquire technical skills and knowledge by utilising the opportunities available due to the institutional and industrial convergence.
Dr.V.Chinnusamy, Chief Executive Officer of the college offered felicitations. He congratulated the efforts taken by the department to provide valuable inputs to the students. Ms.B.Divya Priya proposed Vote of thanks.
