Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Day Programme

In remembrance of the Former President of India, Bharatha Ratna Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Swami Vivekananda Study Circle of the college organised Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Day lecture on 27.07.2017, Thursday at the Conference Hall. Dr. C. A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director of the College  and Dr. V. Chinnusamy,  Chief Executive officer of the College paid homage to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam with flowers to his portrait. Later, Dr. C. A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director of the college gave an inspirational talk on the life of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. In her talk, she stated “Hard work combined with truthfulness and righteousness can make even an ordinary person to become a successful leader. This is the message that Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s life has left for us. In his speech which he delivered at Delhi Tamil Sangam, he insisted that, character building is the root cause for one’s upliftment. Hence, students must concentrate in shaping their character which leads to the enrichment of the society”. Dr. V. Chinnusamy, Chief Executive officer of the College delivered the keynote address, in  which  he  pointed  out  that  the  quotations  of  Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam remains as the energy tool for the youngsters who tirelessly work  to  make  India  as   a   developed   nation   with   supreme   power.   Earlier, Dr. K. Muthukumar, Coordinator, Swami Vivekananda Study Circle and Assistant Professor of Tamil welcomed the gathering. Mrs. S. Punitha Devi, Assistant  Professor and Head of BBA (CA) proposed the vote of thanks. Students and members of staff who attended this programme shared the everlasting memories of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
