S.Salmaan of III BBA Ca of KASC represented Tamil Nadu in 18th National CP 7-A-Side Football Championship 2017 held from 17th to 19th December 2017 in Goa. The team won Runner-up trophy and S.Salmaan won the trophy for the best player of the championship. He is selected to represent India for the 12th South Asian Football CP7-A-Side Championship-2018 to be held at Pokhara, Nepal from 13th to 17th January 2018.This is the maiden representation from Tamilnadu in Cerebral Palsy category. S.Salmaan is one of the five participants from Tami Nadu been selected to represent India for the 12th South Asian Football CP7-A-Side Championship-2018.
S.Salmaan had to undergo great effort to realize his dream of becoming an excellent football player. As football does not bright up the future for a middle class family, his father, an auto rickshaw driver, refuses to support his vision. He was lucky to get whole hearted support from his mother and some good hearted coaches to hold up his dreams. He was determined to strive for his goals; even he had the burden of supporting the family after his father’s death of cardiac arrest. The Management and Department of Physical Education of KASC support him for his studies and also to achieve his vision. He plays for College football team and also for First Kick School of Soccer in Coimbatore .His ambition is to be a part of Indian team for Paralympics World Cup 2018.
