Dr. Sivaprakash, R. - After completion of under-graduate degree in Zoology, post-graduation and doctoral degrees were in Microbiology (Faculty of Medicine). On completion of doctoral degree, worked as a lecturer in Biotechnology for One year and two months. On being offered a post-doctoral position in 1997, completed 1.5 years in University of Malaysia. Then continued postdoctoral research in the USA from 1999 till 2011. In the postdoctoral positions at University of North Carolina and University of Michigan, learnt many techniques in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, small animal handling, animal cell lines in the USA. Finally, in a biotech company, Sequoia Sciences in St. Louis, worked on Natural products and its ability to block spreading of the antibiotic resistant strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
