The Library was established in the year 1973. The constant growth of library with study materials and infrastructure is possible because of our President Dr. M. Aruchami and our Secretary Dr. C.A. Vasuki, to whom "Library is a nerve centre of any educational institution"
In the year 2000, the library was shifted to a new building and in the year 2004, the library was upgraded from Library to Library & Information Centre. In the year 2004, it was recognized as a Research Centre by Annamalai University. In 2006, it was expanded to the First floor with Computer Science and Humanities subject books and Mini Theater
All the activities of the Library come under the supervision of the dynamic Librarian Dr. R. SENTHILKUMAR MSc., MLIS., MPhil., PhD., MBA., MA., MMM., MLM., MS., BEd., PGDCA., PGDPR., PBEd., DSA., In the academic year (2014 - 2015) onwards the library and Information Centre was upgraded to the Research (Part-time and Full-time) Department of Library and Information Science.

- Reference Section First Floor. Mini Theatre (Audio-Visual Section) with 5400 Cd's/DVD's, 350 TV channels through satellite TVs (Airtel & Tata Sky), recorded programmes like budgets, educational programmes, spiritual programmes etc., Wi-Fi Internet and interactive cum smart board facilities.

The College’s Library and Information Centre functions from 8:00 a.m.to 6.00 p.m. every day except on Sundays & Govt. Holidays throughout the year.

Recognition
The Library and Information Centre was recognized as a research centre by Annamalai University on 14.12.2005 for pursuing Ph.D., in Annamalai University.

I visited some many libraries in Tamil Nadu but I have a dream to see the good library like the library in South African University today I visited the library.
