Dr. V. Sangeetha M.Sc., Ph.D., Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry (UG) was appointed as Principal of our college and assumed the office in the after-noon of 5th October 2024. Prior to this, She served as Principal- in-charge of our college (FAC) from 30th April 2024 after-noon onwards. 
A proud alumnus of our college, Dr. V. Sangeetha has completed her UG and PG degrees in Chemistry and secured 2nd rank in M.Sc., Chemistry at the Bharathiar University level during 1997-1999, that indicates the hard work and interest in studies. She graduated Ph.D., degree from Bharathiar University in 2006 in the field of synthetic organic chemistry. To her credit, Dr. V. Sangeetha has successfully guided more than 15 research scholars towards their M. Phil., and Ph.D., Degree. Outcome of research findings from her group has so far led to more than 30 articles published in reputed journals of international standard with significant impact factors and citations. 
From the administrative experience point of view, Dr. V. Sangeetha in the capacity as HOD of Chemistry (UG Department) for about 11 years has strengthened the infrastructural facilities by  up-gradation of laboratories, purchase of instruments etc…. During her service covering more than 20 years in our Institution in diverse capacities such as Coordinator Merged Scheme, Member of  IQAC, Examination Committee, Member in CIA Committee, Coordinator for College of Excellence, Coordinator for 1st criteria of NAAC, Treasure for Alumni Association, Member in Library Committee, Additional Controller of Examinations and  she made  valuable contributions. To highlight her contributions for social development, Dr. V. Sangeetha has served as NSS programme officer in our college for three years and conducted  rural camps to promote health awareness among the marginalized sections. In recognition of  her commitment to the institution,  Dr. V. Sangeetha was  appointed as the Controller of Examinations     Full Additional Charge during August 2023, considered as a very  sensitive and confidential portfolio, that she handled in an exemplary manner before she  was elevated to the post of Principal in-charge. Dr. V. Sangeetha, with her impartial and non-controversial approach towards students, faculties and office staff members in all the matters could certainly maintain a more favorable atmosphere in the campus for academic excellence and achievements of students.
