Campus WalkA Hands-on Training Programme on “Arduino-based Microcontroller” was successfully organized with the aim of equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills in embedded systems using the Arduino platform.
The event began with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. A Kavitha, Head of the Department, Computer Science (Aided) who extended heartfelt greetings to all the participants, resource persons, faculty members, and organizers. In the address, the importance of embedded systems and microcontrollers in modern-day applications was highlighted, along with the relevance of Arduino in educational and prototyping environments.
The resource person Dr. Sabarishwaran Arunagirisamy, Junior Data Scientist Accent Technosoft, Coimbatore delivered an insightful and intellectually stimulating lecture. The training programme was designed with well-structured objectives that focused on introducing participants to the fundamentals of microcontrollers, particularly the Arduino architecture. It aimed to develop essential skills in programming Arduino boards using the Arduino IDE, understanding input/output operations, and interfacing sensors and actuators. The sessions provided extensive hands-on exposure where participants engaged in real-time circuit building, sensor data acquisition, and small-scale project development. Participants gained practical experience with devices such as LEDs, ultrasonic sensors, temperature sensors, motors, and other components commonly used in embedded systems. By the end of the programme, participants were confident in creating basic Arduino projects and were inspired to explore more advanced topics in IoT, robotics, and automation.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. S. Vishalini who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, organizing committee, and technical team for their support and coordination in making the event a success. Special thanks were extended to the resource persons for sharing their knowledge and expertise, and to the participants for their active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the sessions.
