Department of library and information science - About the Department

The research department was started in the year 2014 with M.Phil., and Ph.D., in Library and Information Science for full-time as well as part-time under the headship of Dr.R.Senthilkumar.              The Following two scholars finished their Ph.D.,                                                                                

• G.Ulaganathan - 2018                                                  
• M.Muthukrishnan - 2019                              

Now the following scholars are doing Ph.D., under the headship of Dr.R.Senthilkumar.

• Mrs.B.Geetha (Joined in January - 2021)
• Mr.B.Karthick (Joined in January - 2021)          

One Scholar Mr.Jeyothiprakash submitted the Ph.D., dissertation and awaiting the Viva-Voce examination.

• Mrs.Teena is doing M.Phil., through Part-Time Mode.                                                              

The following scholars are doing Ph.D., in Library and Information Science.

• Mr.Gurumoorthy (Joined in January 2022)
• Miss. Jayanthi (Joined in January 2022) 

• The research department of Library and Information Science Published more than 75 papers in reputed Journals.
• Conducted NET/SET preparatory programs (two times) in Library and Information Science 
• Produced two Ph.D.,Scholars
• Four scholars pursuing the Ph.D., in Library and Information Science and one scholar pursuing M.Phil., programme in Library and Information Science.
• One more scholar submitted the Ph.D., dissertation and awaiting for the Viva-Voce examination.
