Department of Biochemistry (PG and Research) Inauguration 2022, Held on 26.11.2022, Dr. N. Senthilkumar, Scientist F and Head, Division of Chemistry and Bioprospecting division, IFGTB, Coimbtore delivered a keynote address on Bioprospecting of natural products for the participants.

• A webinar entitled “Role of special biochemistry in advanced medical laboratories” through MS team on 19.10.2022 at 2.30 to 3.30 pm , Dr. Dhana Rakesh Kumar Officer – Quality control, Thyrocare technologies LTD., Coimbatore, gave key notes to the gathering on Role of quality control in clinical biochemistry laboratories. The chief guest interacted with the students and students are enriched their knowledge on the respective topic.
• A webinar entitled on “Patent Protection in Biochemistry and Biotechnological Inventions” through webx team on 15.09.2022 at 3.0 - 4.0 PM. Ms. G Keerthi Program Manager IPFC, Bangalore introduced the chief guest. A total of 72 students and research scholar actively participate attended webinar Ms.Parul chrauvedi, IPR, gave key notes to the gathering on Patent Protection in Biochemistry and Biotechnological Inventions. The chief guest intracted with the students and students are enriched their knowledge on there respective topic.
• One Day “National Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and its Strategies for the Startup’s in India” through MS team on 25.08.2022 at 10.00 am. 1. Dr. Balaji Devarajan, Head, Centre for IPR and Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, gave key note on patenting awareness and its importance in innovations. 2. Dr. Chakravarthi Mohan Quality manager ISCOP, Indian Society for Certification of Organic Products, Peelamedu, Coimbatore gave key notes on Quality manager ISCOP, Indian Society for Certification of Organic Products, Peelamedu, Coimbatore presented the key strategies in the start-ups in India. to the gathering on standard essential for filing patents.
• A webinar entitled “standard essential for filing patents” through MS team on 18.06.2022 at 12 noon. Dr.P.Sivaparakasam , Associate Professor and head P/I, Department of physics, srivasavi college, Erode, gavekey notes to the gathering on standard essential for filing patents. A total of 52 students and research scholar actively participate attended.
• A webinar entitled “User Friendly Significance of NDLI for Higher Education - 2022” through MS team on 12.04.2022 at 12.20 to 1.30pm. Dr. R. Parameswaran, PhD. Librarian, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur-610 005, gave key notes to the gathering on NDLI awareness programme and given too detailed picture of NDLI for Biochemistry students which was an eye opening to the participants.

Thangamani, Assistant Professor in Physical Education, Ramakrishna vidhyalaya, Maruthi College of Physical Education, Coimbatore, gave key notes to the gathering on standard essential for filing patents.
