Campus WalkThe Department of Computer Science (Aided), Kongunadu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), organized a Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security Careers and real World Insights” on 28th July 2025 under the DBT STAR College Scheme. The session was conducted from 10.00 AM to 11.30 PM and was attended by enthusiastic students and faculty members from the department.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. A. Kavitha, who extended heartfelt greetings to the guest speaker, faculty members, and students. She emphasized the relevance of cyber security in today’s digital landscape and the importance of preparing students for emerging career opportunities in this critical field.
The resource person, Mr. Mark Roshan, Business Consultant at Crossbow Labs LLP, Brigade IRV Center, Bengaluru, delivered an insightful and intellectually stimulating lecture that captivated the audience. He emphasized that digital disruption goes beyond mere technology adoption — it represents a fundamental transformation in how businesses operate, create value, and engage with customers.
He systematically introduced the audience to key emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Block chain, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and Big Data Analytics. He elaborated on how these technologies are actively reshaping traditional business models by streamlining operations, enhancing decision-making processes, and generating new revenue streams.
