Seminar on “Exploring AI: From Smart Tools to Future Careers”

The Department of Computer Science (Aided) organized a one-day seminar titled “Exploring AI: From Smart Tools to Future Careers” on 19.09.2025 at C-34.

The session commences with a warm welcome address by Dr.A.Kavitha, Head of the Department, Computer Science (Aided).

 

The keynote session was led by Mr. C. Ramachandran, an expert in the field of Artificial Intelligence from Department of Computer Applications, Dr. NGP Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. The speaker began with an overview of the fundamentals of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. Real-life examples and demonstrations of AI-powered tools such as virtual assistants, chat bots, recommendation engines, and image recognition systems were presented to help the audience understand how AI is transforming industries such as healthcare, finance, education, and entertainment. Furthermore, the speaker addressed the ethical challenges posed by AI, including data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, and the impact on employment.

 

Another important aspect of the seminar was the detailed discussion on career opportunities in AI. The speaker elaborated on various roles such as data scientists, AI engineers, machine learning specialists, AI researchers, and AI ethicists. Emphasis was placed on the importance of acquiring the right skill set, including programming (Python, R), data analytics, statistics, and familiarity with AI frameworks like Tensor Flow and PyTorch. The session encouraged students to pursue internships, certifications, and projects in AI to enhance their employability in this fast-growing domain.

 

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. S. Vishalini who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource persons for sharing their expertise and inspiring the audience.
