PG and Research Department of Biotechnology have organised the five-day national workshop served as a vibrant academic platform that brought together researchers, faculty members, industry professionals, and students from diverse institutions to deliberate on the growing global challenge of antimicrobial resistance and the role of advanced genomic technologies in combating it. The programme aimed to provide participants with in-depth theoretical understanding and practical exposure to modern molecular and bioinformatics techniques used in the detection, characterization, and surveillance of AMR pathogens.

The inaugural session witnessed the presence of eminent academicians, invited experts, and institutional leaders who emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research and scientific collaboration in addressing antimicrobial resistance. Throughout the programme, distinguished resource persons delivered expert lectures on cutting-edge topics including genomic sequencing, metagenomic analysis, microbial surveillance, bioinformatics tools, pathogen tracking, and antimicrobial resistance monitoring.
