The Department of Information Technology has a good relationship with IT companies and has signed MoU with many IT companies.
The students of our department also participate in Social Responsible activities and the department also conducts Extension Activities for the creating awarness and teaching computer literacy for the public which includes Computer Awareness programme for school students of Ammani Ammal Higher Secondary School, A Training Programme on MS Office package and Internet is conducted for Data Entry Assistants for District Police officers and Awareness Programme on Digital Transactions using Mobile Application for Self Help Group.
The students of our department has presented a paper and won Best Paper Award in 2nd International Conference on "Socioeconomic Impact of Pollution in Water Bodies and Remedial Measures (ICPWRM -2025) on 6 and 7 January 2025 at Kongunadu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore 29.

Project Development:
Our Department students have developed real time projects for departments of Botany and Biotechnology of our college
• KASC Flora is developed for Department of Botany
• Flora and Fauna of Western Ghats is developed for the Department of Biotechnology.
These projects are implemented and is currently being used by the department staff members and students.

A MoU is signed with OXI.A Academy, Coimbatore to providing internship, Workshops, Project, Workshops, Consultancy and extension facilities in Computer science. Its effect from February 2024 and period for 3 years.
A MoU is signed with ACCENT Techno Soft, Coimbatore for exchange of resources and knowledge in Projects, Internship, Guest Lecture & Workshop, Curriculum Development, etc. Its effect from February 2024 and period for 3 years.
A MoU is signed with Internet Society India Chennai Chapter- Learners Forum, Coimbatore for research & technological up-gradation, innovation and competitiveness of an industry and also providing Internships, Skill Based training & Workshops. Its effect from February 2024 and period for 3 years.
A MoU is signed with Gateway Software Solutions ( opc) Private Limited IT & ITES , Coimbatore for research & development, to assist the students in doing real time Internship and Projects. Its effect from 22.2.2024 and period for 3 years.
A MoU is signed with V-Tech Software Solutions, Bangalore for providing coaching in recent technologies and to assist the students in doing real time projects.
A MoU is signed with Accent Technosoft Software solutions, Coimbatore for providing Value Added courses like Digital Marketing, and Word press.
A MoU is signed with Altitudes for providing Value Added courses like Android Application Development and IoT.
An MoU is signed with HackUp Technologies for conducting cyber security classes and providing cyber security projects. An MoU with ICT academy for attending Seminars / Workshops and FDP's for staff members.
