PG and Research Department of Biotechnology and Indian Science Congress Association jointly organized One day Guest Lecture on “CRISPR - Cas 9 A Prelude” at Auditorium on 02.08.2023. The Resource Person of the session was Dr Kalpana Surendranath, Senior Lecturer in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, Leader of Genome Engineering lab, University of Westminster, London. She explained basics and origin of CRISPR technology, Bacterial defence mechanism and Therapeutic Applications in detail. More than 200 students were participated and interacted well.

The PG and Research Department of Biotechnology organised an periodic lecture 4 on " Ancient Ayurvedam " sponsored by ICPR on 20.03.2023. The talk by Dr. G. K. Tara Jayasri gave knowledge about the basic concepts in Ayurveda and the holistic approach of Ayurveda. She briefed the different forms of medications prescribed in Ayurveda. She also explained how Ayurveda plays an important role in our day to day activities. A total number of 60 students from the Biotechnology department got benefited through the lecture session.

The PG and Research Department of Biotechnology students and scholars Participated “Two days Zonal level Championship from 11.03.2023 to 12.03.2023 at IIT Delhi.
