- An Empirical Analysis of Consumer Purchase Behaviour Towards Organic Food Products In Coimbatore
The global consumer is becoming more and more conscious about their health.
In the present consuming scenario, almost all the consumers are increasingly becoming health-conscious. Since food is the basic necessity of every human being, it is vital for the consumers to avail themselves of quality food in order to maintain their health perfectly. They have become not only conscious about their lives, but they directly and indirectly mind the health of the environment. They consciously want to protect the farms lands than have been since time immemorial producing food to sustain the humanity.
The growing demand for food has made the farmers to resort to modern methods of getting good yield has pushed to the extremes of making use of chemicals and harmful pesticides. This has deteriorated the quality of the soil.
At this juncture, realizing the need for proving the consumers with food products produced from natural cultivation, ie produced without the use of chemicals and harmful pesticides, the farmers as well as the marketers have come out with organic food products.
