  • Our staff members are  actively involved in research and produced 7 Ph.D and 25 M.Phils

  • One day extension activity sponsored by UGC - College of Excellence scheme titled “ENVIRONMEMTAL ISSUES” for school students was conducted on 23-03-2019. 

  • UGC - College of Excellence Scheme  Sponsored One Day Hands on Training for Self Help Group Women Preparation of Cosmetics and Natural Perfumeries” on 30-03-2019.

  • Taking chemistry to society through extension activities

  • Analysis of drinking water quality

  • Application oriented practicals  includes preparation of home care products and cosmetics 

  • Written lab manuals   for all practical courses and given to students

Department

The department was established in the year 1994-95. Autonomy status was granted to the department in the year 2004. The department has been sanctioned support under the Scheme “Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure (FIST)” of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India during 2020. Around 12 lakhs worth projects were sanctioned by the UGC for the faculty members. Every year, the Indian Academy of Sciences is sponsoring for organizing Lecture Workshops.
