Costume Design and Fashion (UnAided)

August 18, 2022 : Kongunadu Arts and Science college, Department of Costume Design and Fashion – Coimbatore. We with our department second year students have visited the Weaving and the Production Unit of  the company, Asian Fabricx private limited, Karur -  A textile based manufacturer, producing  Home Textile products with whih we have signed an MoU dated – March 10, 2022. As a part of the mentioned MoU signed thereby, we made the students to visit their factory to gain the knowledge about weaving and the made-up processes carried over.

The department of Costume design and fashion, Kongunadu arts and science college have organised a webinar on “ Covid – 19 pandemic spurs innovation in Health care and Hygiene textiles” on June 9th 2021 at 11 am. Around 300 participants comprising of Research scholars, Faculty members, students and Industry professionals from various institutions and organizations participated in this webinar.

The International conference “Change Makers and Innovators in Sustainable Fashion Industry – CMISFI’21” has been organized by the Department of costume design and fashion.

This Conference aims to Provide an important recent trends by bringing together researchers, Academicians, Students and related fashion and technical field persons for presenting their innovative original work.
