The Department of Costume Design and Fashion organized one day workshop on “Decoupage Art” by Mrs.G.VASUMATHI, Assistant Professor of Costume Design and Fashion, NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, Tirupur held on 28th February 2020 for the Diploma and other department students in our textile processing and testing lab.
The Department ofCostume Design andFashion arranged for one-dayindustrial visit to PSM Mill, Kanuvai Coimbatore on 25.02.2020 from 2.00 pm to 4.30pm for I Year students.The unit is mainly focusing on the yarn manufacturing process of Cotton.

The Department of Costume Design & Fashion, Kongunadu Arts& Science College Coimbatore organised five days’ workshop on “FASHION SKETCHING” from 10.10.2022 to 14.10.2022. The resource person for the workshop was Mrs. V.MIDHULA , founder of CHITRASENA MIDHULA ART STUDIO, Coimbatore in Illustration lab for I-year CDF students. This workshop was planned with an aim to develop and enhance skills towards Fashion Sketching.
With regard to National Handloom Day Celebration the department of Costume Design and Fashion organized department Association Inauguration and Handloom Fashion Show in Dr. Marappa G. Aruchami Auditorium on 16th August 2022. The function starts with prayer song followed by lighting the kutthuvizhakku by The Principal - Dr. M. Lekeshmanaswamy Sir, The Dean Academics- Dr.S.R Madhan Shankar Sir, The Chief Guest – Mr. John Peter from Dream Zone and the Head, Department of Costume Design and Fashion- Mrs. R.Malathy.
