- M.Phil. / Ph.D (PT &FT) in Computer Science
-
M. Phil.
Eligibility: At least 55% in a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
Duration: 2 years
Ph. D.(FT/PT)Eligibility: A master's degree or an MPhil with a minimum aggregate score of 55% is required for a PhD.
Duration: PhD degree program duration is from 3 years to 6 years. PhD course is the highest level of educational qualification offered in a particular stream
Strength: Our Ph.D. candidates shows particular strengths at the dissertation stage in the breadth and depth of their research; in their ability to synthesize a large amount of material in a cogent, well-organized, and effectively argued thesis; and in their relatively sophisticated command of relevant scholarship, enabling them to make significant scholarly contributions to their chosen subfields. Students were able to analyze, interpret, and write about the findings of their self designed research study in a scholarly manner that focused on issues related to meeting the needs of students with disabilities in urban settings. The PhD students that took courses in our program had strong expertise in writing and articulating their papers. They excelled in the crafting of research questions and leveraging methodological toolkits to conduct their research in their research papers. They appropriately leveraged their training in their core courses to the production of original research. Students were especially prepared to enter the teaching and program development facets of the career thanks to their extensive pedagogical training and programming activities as instructors in the Basic Language Program and our rich second language acquisition methodologies course.
