Costume Design and Fashion (UnAided)

The Department of Costume Design and fashion of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, conducted an Extension activity on 10^th February 2024 at 10.00 am at Sadhguru Sevashram, R.Spuram Coimbatore. 43 students accompanied from I, II & III B.Sc CDF by 5 Faculty members.In Sadhguru sevashram at present 33 orphan children between 3 to 22 years of age are living, Student distributed the Stationary items, Snacks and 25kg Rice to the children.

The National level Symposium -“VASTHRAM 2K24” organised by the Department of Costume Design & Fashion of Kongunadu Arts & Science College, GN Mills, Coimbatore was held on 2^nd February 2024.

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, organized a one day workshop on “Surface Ornamentation” by Ms.M. Jothi Mani, Assistant Professor, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Womens, Coimbatore for 1^st  year students. The workshop was conducted on 27^th December 2023 at 10.00 am to 04.00 pm in our Garment Construction lab.

The Hands-on Beauty care Workshop held on 5^th January 2024 at Textile Processing Laboratory, organized by Department of Costume Design and Fashion for III BSc CDF students with 29 Participants. The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical skills, expert insights, and hands-on experience in the  beauty care. It focused on holistic approaches to skincare, makeup, and overall well-being.

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion has organized a Community Activity on “An Awareness Program on Plastic Free Bags for Local Community” on 4^th of January 2024. . Our department students dyed the jute materials in three different colors (Pink, Blue & Orange) and the dyed material was given to stitching unit of women’s self help group to construct around 60 jute bags, In front of the conference hall at 11.00am

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion organized Two Days Faculty Training Programme on “TUKA CAD” by Mr.Sathiya Raj, Trainer TUKA Centre- Erode For III CDF Students on 18.12.2023 & 19.12.2023 (Monday& Tuesday) Computer Lab-I 9.00am to 1.00pm

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion and NDLI Club of Kongunadu Arts and Science College jointly organized a Guest Lecture on Personality Developmenton on 20^th December2023,at 11.30am to 12.30pm through MS Teams platform by Mr.A.Nawazbabu, Technical lead, LTI Mindtree.120 students participated in this session 

The Fashion Portfolio Workshop, held on 15^th December 2023, was an insightful and interactive event aimed at providing Costume Design and fashion students with the knowledge and skills needed to create compelling and professional fashion portfolios. The Head of the Department have extended a warm welcome to the speaker, Mrs. P. Nithya, Assistant Professor, Department of Costume Design and Fashion from PSG College of Arts and Science, and the workshop presided over. 58 Students from CDF department has participated at smart classroom. 

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion organized “ A One day workshop on Pleated pant” for II B.Sc CDF students by Mr.Arumugam & Mr.Ramu, Brilliant Tailor, Sirumugai on 14.03.2023 from 10.00 am to 1.00pm at Garment Construction Lab.

The Department of Costume Design & Fashion, Kongunadu Arts & Science College, Coimbatore conducted a Poster Designing Competition for “World Environment Day” celebration on 06.06.2022.
