On behalf of the National Handloom Day celebration, on 7^th August, 2023 - the Department of Costume design and fashion, Organized an Exhibition cum sale to celebrate the heritage of handloom textiles, the event showcased an extensive array of handwoven products, allowing attendees to explore the rich tapestry of culture, history, and skill behind each piece at Conference Hall, Kongunadu arts and science college, Coimbatore.

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Department of Computer Science (SF) and Institution’s Innovation Council, KASC jointly organized a Webinar on                     “Prototype Validation Converting Innovation into Startup” by Ms.Sathya Sundarraj, Proprietor, Surekara Enterprises, Bangalore on 28.08.2023 through MS Teams Plat form from 11.00 am to 12.00pm (IST).

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion & KASC Institution‘s Innovation Council organized a National Innovation Day Poster Making Competition For our College Students on Wants Something New! Stop Imitating! On 15.02.2023, at F8 (CDF Pattern Making Lab) from 11.00am to 12.00 pm.

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion & KASC Institution’s Innovation Council organized a Competition of “WEALTH OUT OF WASTE” to Commemorate “World Creativity and Innovation Day” For our College Students on 14.07.2023 (Friday) at F8 (CDF Pattern Making Lab) from 12.00pm to 1.00 pm.

The department of Costume design and fashion, Kongunadu arts and science college have organised a webinar on “ Covid – 19 pandemic spurs innovation in Health care and Hygiene textiles” on June 9th 2021 at 11 am.

The International conference “Change Makers and Innovators in Sustainable Fashion Industry – CMISFI’21” has been organized by the Department of costume design and fashion.on 25th & 26th March 2021

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, organized a one day workshop on “Jewellery Making” by Ms. A.Jency Jasmin, Hand Crafted Jewellery Designer, Glitz Copper Jewellery, Coimbatore for 3^rd year CDF students. The workshop was conducted on 19^th March 2021 at 08.30 am to 04.00 pm in our textile processing and testing lab.

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, organized a one day workshop on “Customised Garments Construction” by Mr.Munna, Senior Pattern Master, PRK Garments, Dindigul for 2^nd year CDF students. The workshop was conducted on 8^th September 2020 at 10.00 am to 1.00 pm through Google Meet.

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, Organized an Awareness program on NATIONAL DIGITAL LIBRARY OF INDIA (NDLI) for the Students of Costume Design and Fashion by Ms.L.Kamatchi, Assistant Professor, Dept of Costume Design and Fashion, through Google Meet at 2.00pm on 1^st September 2020.
