PG & Research Department of Commerce organized an event on ‘Waste Management’ on account of ‘World Environment Day’, on 3rd June 2022. Dr.S.Uma, Associate Professor and Head, PG and Research Department of Commerce, welcomed all the participants and Dr. T.Jayakumar, Dean, School of Commerce and Management addressed the participants with a few words about ‘World Environment Day’ and the importance of ‘Transformative Change in Waste Management’, about how nature can be saved by recycling the waste and creating new products out of it.
There were 30 participants from Commerce department who exhibited their products made out of waste. The students out of their innovative ideas and creativity used the waste products like newspapers, used bottles etc., and created new decorative and other products. Dean, School of Commerce and Management, witnessed the exhibited products and appreciated all the participants and wished them for conduct of more such events to bring out their creativity and skills. The participants gave awareness about Environmental transformation and waste management to 308 students from commerce department who were the beneficiaries.
